Position Overview: As a Welfare and Attendance Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the welfare and attendance of our students. Your responsibilities will include monitoring attendance records, promoting positive attendance practices, and ensuring the well-being of our students through effective support systems.

Responsibilities: As a Welfare and Attendance Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring student attendance records, identifying patterns, and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Collaborating with parents, carers, and external agencies to address attendance and welfare issues, providing guidance and support where necessary.
  • Implementing strategies to improve attendance, working closely with the pastoral team, teachers, and parents to promote a positive attendance culture.
  • Maintaining accurate attendance records and producing reports as required.
  • Supporting the school's welfare initiatives, including overseeing the administration of medical needs, first aid, and promoting the well-being of students.

Requirements: To excel in this role, you should demonstrate the following qualifications and qualities:

  • Previous experience in a school environment (desirable but not mandatory). Individuals with relevant administration experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • A keen interest in supporting the well-being and attendance of students.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
