Wraparound Care Assistant (Early Years) - Brockley, SE4
Part-Time | 3 Days per Week | January Start

A well-regarded primary school in Brockley (SE4) is seeking a committed Wraparound Care Assistant to join its Early Years provision from January. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a nurturing environment and enjoys supporting young children at the start and end of the school day.

Role Overview
You will work as part of the school's established wraparound care team, providing a safe, engaging, and structured environment for children aged 3-5. The position involves helping to set up activities, supporting play-based learning, and assisting children with routines such as snacks, toileting, and nappy changing.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality care for Early Years pupils within a welcoming and purposeful setting
* Support children's social, emotional, and physical development through play and structured activities
* Assist with personal care, including nappy changing, in line with the school's safeguarding and hygiene protocols
* Build positive, trusting relationships with children, staff, and parents
* Contribute to maintaining a safe, well-organised learning environment
* Uphold the school's safeguarding and child protection policies at all times

Requirements
* Experience working with Early Years children in a school, nursery, or childcare setting
* Confidence supporting personal care needs, including nappy changing
* Strong communication skills and a calm, proactive approach
* Reliability and a genuine passion for supporting young learners
* A valid enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
* Up-to-date safeguarding training is highly desirable
