An Ofsted rated 'Good' 2 form entry Primary school based in the London borough of Croydon are in need of an experienced Y6 Teacher to work with them from January 2023. This is a long-term full time position lasting up until July 2023 with the view of continuing into the following academic year and even moving over on a permanent contract.
The school are looking for a dedicated Y6 Teacher who can enhance the children's learning and development and work well with the other highly experienced Y6 Teacher. The school want someone to bring their own ideas and put their twist on the curriculum, they strive to achieve the best possible SAT's results and have some of the best KS2 SAT's results in the borough, they would like a Y6 Teacher who can add value and keep the school in the top percentage of achievers.
Details of the role:
This role is full-time, Monday to Friday on a long term ongoing basis with scope to go permanent down the line. In this role you will be delivering full-class teaching to a Year 6 class ensuring that pupils are maintaining their attainment levels and enable children to reach their full potential. Due to the exam requirements of KS2 it is crucial that the ideal candidate must have previous experience and knowledge of preparing pupils for SATs. In addition, familiarity with curriculum focused on History, Geography and PSHE would also be beneficial for this position. Planning and preparation of work will also be expected to be performed by the teacher, along with marking work and registering pupils' attainment.
