A well-established and welcoming 3-form entry primary school is seeking a confident and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their Key Stage 1 team from January 2026. This is a long-term position for the remainder of the academic year, with a strong opportunity to secure a permanent contract from September 2026.

The Role
Full class responsibility for a Year 2 class
Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
Supporting pupils in preparation for KS1 assessments
Delivering high-quality phonics, reading, writing, and maths
Differentiating effectively for SEN and EAL pupils
Working closely with parallel teachers and teaching assistants
The Ideal Candidate
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Year 2 or KS1 is desirable
Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
Strong understanding of phonics and early reading strategies
Committed, reflective, and enthusiastic practitioner
