The Behaviour Specialist Job:

REESON Education are currently looking for a Behaviour Specialist to work within an outstanding, non-maintained special school situated in the borough of Haringey. This is long term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate, starting from September 2020. This school specialises in educating students with complex needs; therefore the successful Behaviour specialist needs to have previous experience working with EBD, SEMH and other special needs. This specific role will be working as a Behavioural Support Assistant for small groups and potentially 1:1.

The School:

This Ofsted rated Good special school/college is situated in Haringey and work with students between the ages of 16-25 and have over 140 members of staff. They can support pupils with high and low functioning autism and other complex needs. It is the school's priority to make sure each student has an individual focus, that is not only enjoyable but age appropriate. This college has fantastic amenities for members of staff and are able to provide their employees with personal and professional development.

They are looking for someone who is confident, driven, eager to learn, flexible and can take initiative. As this vacancy is a September start, it is key for any new member of staff that joins the school that a smooth transition takes place, in order to create minimal disruption for the students and staff when returning back to school after the Summer holidays.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with children with complex needs in either a mainstream or a special school. We need someone who is highly confident in supporting students with complex needs.
