About the Role

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support children across Nursery and Reception with early communication, phonics, and play-based learning

  • Help deliver engaging child-initiated and adult-led activities

  • Assist with behaviour routines, transitions, and personal care when required

  • Work closely with the class teachers and EYFS lead to create a positive and stimulating environment

  • Encourage social interaction, independence, and emotional development

This is a fantastic role for a creative, patient, and energetic practitioner who loves working with younger learners.


The Ideal Candidate

The school hopes to appoint an Early Years Teaching Assistant who:

  • Has experience in EYFS or early childhood settings

  • Understands early phonics, developmental milestones, and sensory/structured play

  • Is warm, proactive, and able to follow routines consistently

  • Communicates well with children, staff, and families

  • Holds an Enhanced DBS (or is willing to apply)
