Location: Lambeth (near Brixton Station)

Pay: £95-£110 per day
Qualification Required: Minimum Level 2 (Childcare or Early Years)
Setting: Mainstream Primary School - Early Years Foundation Stage
The Opportunity
A welcoming and well-organised primary school in Lambeth is seeking a qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their Reception team from April.
This is a hands-on role within a busy Early Years setting where learning through play, structured phonics, and early development are key priorities. The school is looking for someone who understands the EYFS framework and can confidently support children across both adult-led and child-initiated activities.
Your Responsibilities
Supporting learning within the Reception classroom
Assisting with phonics, early writing, and number activities
Supporting children's social and emotional development
Helping to set up and manage engaging learning areas
Observing and recording pupil progress where required
Promoting positive behaviour and clear routines
The Ideal Candidate
The successful Early Years Teaching Assistant will:
Hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in Early Years or Childcare
Have recent experience working within an EYFS setting
Understand the importance of structured routines in Early Years
Be nurturing, patient, and proactive
Work effectively as part of a team
Level 3 qualifications are welcome, but a Level 2 minimum is essential.
