Reeson Education is recruiting for a passionate and resilient English Teacher to join a fantastic SEN secondary school in the SK15 postcode. This is a full-time, permanent English Teacher position, with interviews taking place as soon as possible.

This specialist SEMH school caters for pupils aged 11-16 with a wide range of needs, including SEMH, ADHD, behavioural challenges, anxiety, and other learning difficulties. The school provides small class sizes (no more than 6 pupils per class) and excellent facilities to ensure pupils receive tailored education and meaningful support.

As an English Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons for KS3 and KS4 pupils
  • Adapt teaching to meet individual EHCPs and diverse learning needs
  • Create a nurturing, structured, and safe classroom environment
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, supporting their confidence and engagement
  • Work collaboratively with TAs, mentors, and SEN specialists
  • Monitor progress and contribute to assessments and reviews
  • Commit to fostering both academic and social-emotional development
  • Be a consistent, dependable presence as an English Teacher in the school

We're looking for an English Teacher who:

  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) - essential
  • Has experience teaching English within the UK curriculum
  • Brings resilience, creativity, and adaptability to the role
  • Has experience (or a strong interest) in working with SEMH and additional needs
  • Can inspire, motivate, and re-engage pupils who have struggled in mainstream settings
  • Is committed to making a lasting positive impact as an English Teacher
