A Geography Teacher is needed on a permanent basis at a Secondary School in North London.

This Geography Teacher role can be part or full time.

If appointed as a Geography Teacher, you will need to teach KS3, KS4 and KS5 lessons. If you don't have experience of teaching KS5, the team will support you.

Standard responsibilities for this Geography Teacher post will include but not be limited to; planning lessons, assessing pupil progress and regularly attending team meetings.

In addition to this, the school is keen to take on a Geography Teacher that can work as part of team, use their time effectively and uphold the school's ethos.

The rates of pay for this Geography Teacher post will range from £150 to £250 a day, depending on each applicants qualifications and experience.

The School

A 'Good' coeducational secondary school for 11 to 16 year olds, part of the Islington Futures Federation of Community Schools and Islington Sixth Form Partnership.

It was first established in 1907 as an all-boys school.

Although there is no Sixth Form at the school, graduating pupils are guaranteed a place at City and Islington College, through the City and Islington Sixth Form Consortium.

There are a host of excellent facilities on site. These include a rooftop peace garden (with rabbits, chickens and vegetable growing), swimming pool, outdoor space, astroturf pitch, sports hall, fitness gym and music rooms for KS3 pupils to learn violin.

Requirements

You are encouraged to apply if you are a newly qualified Geography Teacher or experienced Geography Teacher.

Applications are also welcome if you are a British trained Geography Teacher or overseas trained Geography Teacher.

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Clear and updated Enhanced DBS
  • UK QTS or an overseas equivalent
  • Experience as a Geography Teacher in UK schools
