REESON Education is recruiting for am enthusiastic and confident Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a fabulous Team in one of our Central Hackney partner schools. The role will be on an ongoing supply basis starting at the end of October until the end of the school year in July. For the right candidate, there may be the possibility of being asked to return to the school for a second year in September 2021.
The role will be working either as a 1-1 with pupils with ASD (Autism) or offering whole class support to the teacher. Children are exceptionally well behaved at the school and the standards of achievement are above the national average.
As the dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant for the pupil/class, you will be responsible for supporting the class teacher in ensuring children reach their full potential. You will supervise lunch and play breaks alongside lesson time, organise activities and assist with the decoration of the classroom. You will also meet regularly with the SENDCO, Class Teacher and parents to discuss progress and plans of action to support improvement in any pupils with SEN.
The ideal candidate will have some previous experience either as a Graduate Teaching Assistant or voltunary work experience supporting children or adults. The school is also keen to hear from recent Graduates who may have relevant voluntary work experience (particularly with vulnerable people) and who are interested in pursuing a career within education.
Successful applicants must be able to provide 2 recent, education based references as well as have a current, in date enhanced DBS check.
Interviews can be arranged in the coming weeks for successful Graduate Teaching Assistant applicants and rates of pay can be negotiated based on experience.
