History Teacher

If you're a qualified and experienced Secondary School History Teacher, looking for fantastic new opportunity to utilise your skill set, this may be the job for you.

A position for a full-time permanent History Teacher has become available at an excellent, all boys independent school in South London.

Applicants for this History Teacher post must be able to teach History at KS3. This will be the requirement for the position and the everyday teaching required if successful.

History Teachers with knowledge of teaching KS4 to 5 would be desirable but this isn't essential for the position.

The school is looking to appoint a History Teacher for January 2020 on a permanent, full time basis. NQTs and experienced History Teachers are welcome to apply.

The salary for this History Teacher position will be £28355 to £44541 depending on experience and qualifications.

The School

A lovely independent all boys school in South London, situated in 45 acres of natural surroundings and known as one of London's oldest schools.

The school offers a number of academic pathways including A Level, Pre U, the IB and BTEC. They also offer a bilingual area for native French speakers.

Sports is a big part of the schools ethos and they have won a number of awards over the years. A variety of sports are practiced, and a high number of pupils go on to pursue a career in sports.

Performing Arts also plays a major role for pupils who are passionate about Drama and Music.

Requirements

Applications are welcome from History Teachers at any stage in their career, as well both British trained History Teacher and overseas trained History Teachers. All applicants must have UK qualifications or an overseas formal qualification.

All History Teacher applicants must have the following as a must:

  • UK QTS or an overseas teaching qualification
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Experience of working as a History Teacher in the UK or strong working knowledge of the History Curriculum, particularly for KS3
