REESON Education are working closely with an OFSTED 'Outstanding' 2 form entry school in the London Borough of Hackney. The school are looking for KS2 Teaching Assistant's who are happy to work on an ongoing temporary basis commencing after half term (February 24th).
As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting the class teacher with pupils aged between 6 and 11 years. You will be offering support and encouragement either on a whole class, small group or 1-1 basis. Good Literacy and Numeracy skills will be essential in this role in order to support pupils in their academic development at KS2 level.
The role of a Teaching Assistant is to be proactive, enthusiastic and intuitive to the needs of individual pupils. You may be supporting pupils with additional needs, and as such experience working with children/young people with ASD or ADHD is preferred (however not essential).
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year's experience as a KS2 Teaching Assistant in either a mainstream Primary or Special Educational Needs setting. However applications from strong KS1 Teaching Assistants or HLTA's will also be considered.
