This Learning Mentor role is to start in September (or sooner for the right candidate) and offers a genuine opportunity to become a permanent member of the staff team.

The ideal Learning Mentor will bring experience, patience, and creativity to the role - helping pupils overcome barriers and find their spark again.
The Learning Mentor role includes:
- Delivering small-group and 1:1 sessions on PSHE, RSE, literacy, therapeutic interventions, behaviour and emotional support
- Supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH through carefully planned support programmes
- Providing classroom cover when required (HLTA level)
- Supporting reintegration, transitions, and improving attendance
- Working closely with teachers, external professionals, and families
- Leading and supervising other learning mentors and support staff
- Helping to plan, evaluate, and report on student progress
- Contributing to school-wide inclusion and safeguarding strategies
This Learning Mentor position would suit someone with:
- Strong experience in PRU or SEMH/SEND settings
- A calm, resilient and proactive approach
- Level 3 TA qualification, HLTA status or equivalent and relevant hands on experience (qualifications not always essential)
- The ability to lead by example, with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
- A commitment to long-term impact and ongoing professional development
You will be joining a skilled, warm and supportive team who are deeply committed to helping every pupil thrive.
If you are an experienced Learning Mentor looking for a fresh challenge in a school where your input will truly matter, we want to hear from you.
