Learning Support Assistant - KS1 - Primary School - Haringey, North London
A friendly and inclusive Primary School in Haringey, North London is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work within KS1, supporting pupils with additional learning needs, including ASD and ADHD, in a mainstream setting.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support children both in small groups and on a 1:1 basis. This Learning Support Assistant role is ideal for someone nurturing, patient, and confident in supporting early learning and emotional regulation.
Key responsibilities of the Learning Support Assistant role include:
Supporting KS1 pupils with SEND in the classroom
Delivering targeted interventions as a Learning Support Assistant
Supporting behaviour, communication, and engagement
Helping children access the curriculum effectively
Requirements:
Experience as a Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant
Understanding of KS1 and early childhood development
Confidence supporting children with ASD/ADHD
Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
