Learning Support Assistant | Waltham Forest | £82.14 - £100 per day | Immediate Start Available

Reeson Education is currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work in a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Waltham Forest. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and helping children reach their full potential.

Role Overview - Learning Support Assistant

The successful Learning Support Assistant will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to support pupils who require additional help accessing the curriculum. The Learning Support Assistant will provide both one-to-one support and small group interventions, helping pupils develop confidence and independence.

Responsibilities of the Learning Support Assistant

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assisting pupils with autism, ADHD, and communication needs
  • Helping pupils regulate emotions and behaviour within the classroom
  • Supporting the teacher with classroom activities and learning tasks
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and the SENCO to ensure progress
  • Encouraging positive engagement and participation in lessons

Requirements for the Learning Support Assistant

  • Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar support role
  • Experience supporting children with SEN including autism, ADHD or SEMH is desirable
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A calm, patient and proactive approach to supporting pupils
  • A genuine passion for working as a Learning Support Assistant in primary education
