A welcoming primary school in the borough of Islington is looking to recruit a committed Learning Support Assistant to join their SEN provision. This role involves supporting pupils with additional needs in a specialist setting within the school, helping them access learning and develop key social and communication skills.

The Role:
Supporting children with special educational needs within the school's specialist provision
Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to pupils' individual needs
Assisting pupils with learning activities, communication and emotional development
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support pupils' progress
Encouraging independence and helping pupils engage confidently in school life
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience supporting children with SEN such as ASD, communication needs or SEMH
A calm, patient and nurturing approach
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Experience in a primary school or specialist setting is desirable
Passionate about supporting children with additional needs to achieve their potential
