Nursery Assistant | East London | ASAP Start | £13.69-£15.87 per hour
Reeson Education is recruiting for a caring Nursery Assistant to work flexibly across various nursery settings in the borough of Waltham Forest. This Nursery Assistant role is perfect for someone who is passionate about early childhood development and wants the flexibility to choose the days they work across Walthamstow, Leyton, Leytonstone, Chingford, Highams Park, and Woodford.
The Role: As a Nursery Assistant, you'll be working with children aged 0-5 years across multiple nurseries, supporting their care and development in safe, stimulating environments. This Nursery Assistant position offers flexible shifts between 8am-6pm, and you can pick the days that suit you, giving you control over your schedule while gaining experience in diverse settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing high-quality care and supervision for babies and young children across different nurseries
- Supporting children's learning and development through play-based activities
- Assisting with daily routines including feeding, changing, and nap times
- Building warm, trusting relationships with children, families, and nursery teams
- Adapting quickly to different nursery environments and procedures
What We're Looking For:
- Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare (essential)
- Experience working as a Nursery Assistant in nursery or childcare settings
- A nurturing, flexible approach with excellent communication skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and child development milestones
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- Desirable: Paediatric First Aid qualification and confidence working in varied settings
