The Role: This Nursery Assistant role involves supporting the care and education of children from birth to 5 years old across various nursery settings in North London. As a Nursery Assistant, you'll work shifts between 8am-6pm on days that suit your schedule, helping children develop through play, exploration, and meaningful interactions in different environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Caring for babies, toddlers, and pre-school children in multiple nursery settings
- Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities to support development
- Supporting children with additional needs or developmental delays
- Following children's individual care routines and maintaining clear communication with parents and staff
- Adapting to different nursery practices while maintaining high standards of care
What We're Looking For:
- Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare (essential)
- Previous experience as a Nursery Assistant or in a similar early years role
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
- A warm, adaptable attitude with the ability to work well in different teams
- Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Desirable: First Aid training, experience with SEN, or knowledge of Makaton
