Playworker | St Albans | ASAP Start | £12.21-£13.69 per hour
Reeson Education is working with primary schools across St Albans and surrounding areas to find enthusiastic Playworkers for after school club provision on a casual, zero-hours basis. This Playworker role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and wants flexible shifts between 3pm-6pm that fit around other commitments.
The Role: As a Playworker, you'll be running fun, safe after school clubs for primary-aged children across different schools in the St Albans area. This Playworker position on a zero-hours contract allows you to choose when you work, giving you complete flexibility while creating exciting activities that help children unwind and socialize after the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising and engaging children during after school club sessions from 3pm-6pm
- Planning and delivering creative play activities, games, sports, and crafts
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children in your care
- Managing behaviour positively and promoting inclusive play
- Communicating effectively with parents, carers, and school staff
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working as a Playworker or in childcare/youth work
- A creative, enthusiastic approach with excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of child development and behaviour management strategies
- Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Flexibility to work across different schools on a casual basis
- Desirable: Experience planning activities or qualifications in childcare/playwork
