The Role
The successful Primary Class Teacher will take on a Year 6 class, guiding pupils through their final year of primary education.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering engaging and well-structured lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
- Preparing pupils for end-of-year assessments in a supportive and balanced way
- Tracking progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs
- Creating a focused and positive classroom environment
- Working closely with colleagues to plan and share resources
The Ideal Candidate
The school is seeking a Primary Class Teacher who:
- Holds QTS and has recent experience teaching in KS2
- Has a strong understanding of Year 6 expectations and assessment
- Maintains high expectations for behaviour and attainment
- Is organised, reflective and committed to improving outcomes
- Works well as part of a team
Previous experience teaching Year 6 or Upper KS2 is highly desirable.
