They are seeking a committed and enthusiastic teacher to join our team in the Social Sciences department. PSHCE is a very popular subject and is taught at all key stages, including A level. They wish to appoint a colleague who is passionate about the subject and is able to enthuse and motivate highly ambitious students.

Person Specification

  • You will need to hold a recognised teaching qualification in the UK, to include QTS (or an appropriate overseas qualification leading to obtaining QTS)
  • The school are keen to hear from experienced teachers, especially at Key Stages 3 & 4, if you have had experience teaching a range of syllabus on the National Curriculum then that would be an advantage. They are equally happy to hear from NQTs ad can offer induction support.
  • Ideally you will have experience of working in a mixed ability secondary comprehensive school and can demonstrate the ability to differentiate lessons accordingly.
  • The School are equally keen to hear from teachers who are currently training and looking for an NQT position in September as part of their expansion plans.
  • Confidence in your ability to plan, prepare and deliver lessons for mixed ability pupils at GCSE's
  • Having good behaviour management and an ability to relate to mixed ability students is desirable
  • A good team player, who has a can do attitude and sense of humour
  • Only passionate and motivated PSHCE Teacher need apply.

Experience of teaching PSHCE to mixed ability students is desirable. The role offers the opportunity for a motivated and passionate teacher to make the most of a diverse student body, promoting a love of learning and a love for furthering knowledge in subjects that are relevant to everyday life.
