Reception Teacher
A vibrant and forward-thinking primary school based in Sydenham is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Reception Teacher to join their team on a full-time and permanent basis starting in September.
As a Reception Teacher, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons to children aged 4-5 years, ensuring a smooth transition into school life and fostering a love for learning. You will plan and implement creative and stimulating activities based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, promote positive behaviour management, and establish strong relationships with both students and parents.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified teacher with experience working in the Early Years or Reception setting. You will have a solid understanding of the EYFS curriculum and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building strong partnerships with parents, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of MPS (Main Pay Scale) based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
Requirements:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working in the Early Years or Reception setting
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum
- Ability to create engaging and developmentally appropriate lesson plans
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
