REESON Education are recruiting for a dedicated and passionate SEMH Teaching Assistant on behalf of a successful Clapham based Primary School. The role will be working on a 1-1 basis with a Year 3 pupil with SEMH (Social Emotional and Mental Health Needs) on a full time basis from as soon as possible until the end of the year in July with the view to extend into the new academic year in September.
You will be directly responsible for ensuring the child is happy and supported at school - as well as facilitating their academic progress alongside the class teacher. You will liaise regularly with the SENCO, Class Teacher and parents to ensure the child is supported and reaches their full potential at school.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year's UK experience as either an SEMH TA or SEN TA, though this is not essential. The school is also keen to hear from recent Graduates who may have relevant voluntary work experience and who are interested in pursuing a career within education.
Successful applicants must be able to provide 2 recent, education based references as well as have a current, in date enhanced DBS check on the update service. (We can provide the links to apply for a new DBS if required)
