Reeson Education are currently recruiting for an experienced EYFS SEN Teacher in Merton for a Good (OfSTED) school for April on a permanent contract. The ideal candidate should be an experienced teacher able to teach pupils with SLD and ASD learning needs adapting the EYFS curriculum as part of a highly creative multi-sensory approach.
The successful SEN Teacher will have the support of two very capable Learning Support Assistants trained in Makaton, PECs, Team-Teach, TEACCH and First Aid. The school places a strong emphasis on camaraderie amongst staff & pupils, and teaching pupils the importance of persistence and resilience where all pupils have high expectations for a bright future.
The class consists of 8 pupils all of whom have a diagnosis of Autism, some of whom have additional needs and all of whom are working between P Levels 1 and 5. All classes are very well-resourced and the school maintains strong links with parents so that pupils progress can be tracked. Therefore, a teacher deeply enthusiastic and passionate will be the ideal candidate for this role.
