  • Long Term Job
  • Permanent Job from September 2020
  • Pay 145 - 215 per day

An outstanding SEND school in the London borough of Kensington and Chelsea are seeking to appoint an SEN teacher for an immediate start to join their team to cover a long term sickness through to the end of the academic year. The position has arisen due to one of their permanent SEN teachers having to move back to Australia due to family issues. This role will last for the duration of the academic year but could become permanent in due course subject to performance.

This top Kensington and Chelsea SEN school has been consistently rated as outstanding and the appointed SEN teacher would benefit from their exceptional training. The school caters to primary and secondary aged pupils who have a range of needs including severe learning difficulties and profound and multiple learning difficulties.

The Headteacher has indicated that they are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking, proactive, flexible SEN Teacher to work in an SLD class of 7 pupils who range between years 5 and 6 in age. The class is supported by 4 experienced LSAs.

Long and medium term plans are in place for the class as the teacher taught them all last year as well; you will however be taking on the full responsibilities of a permanent member of staff and will be expected to undertake short term planning, provide assessments, fill out paperwork, liaise with parents etc.

The ideal candidate will have some experience working with children with more complex special needs either in a special school or in a mainstream setting. UK trained and overseas trained teachers with UK teaching experience and QTS or the equivalent are encouraged to apply.

Please apply ASAP for immediate interview.
