A chance to work in an Outstanding SEN School! This School is in the heart of East London, a short walk from multiple stations on the Central Line.

The School:

This is a happy and positive School who Reeson are delighted to be partnering with! The well established School serves pupils aged 4 - 11 years with Autism, Social and Communication needs. They have been graded Outstanding by Ofsted again and again and it is easy to see why when you enter the office of the School and are greeted with friendly faces and a colourful display of childrens work.

Students are taught by passionate and experienced Teacher who manage to deliver a unique curriculum full of creativity which engages and enables progression for students with all levels of ability. Students with communication issues have regular support from Speech Therapists and the School also benefits from Sensory Rooms and Soft Play. The learning is child led, centred around students interests and this makes for a fun learning environment where all students enjoy coming to School. Because of the work of the team, progress is fast for pupils and behaviour and relationships between pupils and staff are excellent. Teachers receive regular training and are encouraged to work together, bounce ideas off each other and as such are a close knit and sociable team who regularly meet out of School for example a group of teachers who meet once a month for the Pub Quiz in the local pub!

The Class:

The Class is a Key Stage 2 group with 7 students, mostly boys. They are working P Level 6 to NC Level 1.

The Class have been taught by the same Teacher from September and this Teacher has now been promoted and is wanted out of Class. Because of this, the new Teacher who joins will have a comprehensive handover by the Teacher who is still in School and ongoing support as they settle in and become successful in their new role! The perfect opportunity to smoothly take on a Class mid year with little disruption and every chance to be hugely successful in this role. Students have Autism and Complex Needs, high sensory and communication needs and some social/behavioural needs.

You:

Due to the needs of this Class, it is necessary for the chosen Teacher to have experience teaching students with Autism and Complex Needs. If you have worked in a similar SEN setting, delivering highly sensory learning for students with ASD, SLD and PMLD, then you will have the experience needed for this role.

Please get in touch ASAP to apply today for an interview. Interviews to be held early next week!
