The School A special school for children and young people with autism and severe learning difficulties based in the London Borough of Hounslow are seeking to appoint an experienced SEN teacher to start with them on a long term contract either before for after the February Half Term. The school educates pupils with moderate to severe learning difficulties a high proportion of whom have a diagnosis of autism and have speech language and communication difficulties. In 2016 Ofsted judged the school as outstanding, behaviour and leadership were singled out as as outstanding. In the next year or so the school will be moving into a new £30m purpose built complex, which will better meet the needs of our pupils and enhance their education. The Job They are currently recruiting for a classroom teacher to work in the primary department. The successful applicant will have a very small class (6 pupils) with a high ratio of staff to pupils (2 Full Time TAs). They are looking for applicants who have experience or understanding of pupils with SEND, specifically Autism if possible although other experience and a desire to learn is enough. If things go well you will be offered a permanent contract from August 2020. The Applicant
