An SEN School based in the London Borough of Greenwich (excellent transport links) is looking for a Teacher for ASD to join their ever growing team of professionals.

The School:

Graded as 'outstanding' by Ofsted, this special school based in Greenwich is at the forefront of SEN provision in the UK. With a reputation of excellence, dedication and care, the school delivers an exceptional education to children aged 4 - 18 with Autism, SLD and profound learning difficulties.

The school provides a safe, nurturing, and educationally stimulating environment for pupils. The teachers deliver highly tailored learning to pupils working at low cognitive ability levels. There is a focus on sensory teaching and creative learning in school and in the community to allow students development in all areas.

All classrooms have the support of 3 full-time Teaching Assistants and Teachers are given 1 full day a week for planning (PPA) time!

The role:

As a Class based Teacher in this School you will plan, develop, and coordinate individual curriculum programmes for students with Autism in your class. You will implement whole class and group learning activities and continuously assess pupils progress their their specific learning goals. You will work in collaboration with a team of highly skilled Teaching Assistants to deliver outstanding learning opportunities. You will be expected to provide a sensory programme, integrating the physical, academic, social and emotional needs of each individual student.
