We are currently looking for an experienced and qualified teacher to join this Outstanding SEN School in Islington.
SEN Teacher - Islington - THE SCHOOL:
- Caters for students aged 2-19 years over two sites in Islington
- SEN School for Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Some students have challenging behaviour, sensory impairments and/or physical disabilities

SEN Teacher - Islington - THE SCHOOL:
As an SEN Teacher, you would be planning and delivering lessons, differentiated to meet the individual needs of the children. The curriculum you would be delivering is aimed to provide an inclusive, supportive and challenging environment for the children and encourage them to actively participate in their learning. You would be teaching a range of subjects based on a primary model including Numeracy, Literacy, ICT, PSHE and PE at P levels 3-through to national curriculum Level 2A-2C.
Due to the needs of the children, this SEN school is looking for someone with experience in working with children with similar needs. Experience in planning differentiated lessons and marking students work is essential. Each child has an individual learning plan you would be expected to write, monitor and discuss with therapists, parents and senior leadership.
This SEN school trains all staff in Team Teach in order to manage behaviour and a number of communication aids including PECS and Makaton.
