As a Secondary ASD Teacher at our school, you will have the incredible chance to inspire and empower students with ASD to reach their full potential. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of essential tasks, including:
- Delivering engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with ASD.
- Creating and implementing personalised learning plans, ensuring each student's unique abilities and challenges are taken into account.
- Providing a nurturing and supportive environment where students feel safe, valued, and encouraged to thrive.
- Collaborating closely with a team of dedicated professionals, including teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff, to ensure a holistic approach to education.
- Assessing and monitoring students' progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly to promote continuous growth and development.
- Utilising a variety of specialist resources and assistive technology to enhance student's learning experiences.
- Building strong relationships with parents and guardians, fostering open communication and involving them in their child's learning journey.
- Participating in regular training and professional development opportunities, staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in ASD education.
