A top SEN school in Merton is looking for a primary SEN Teacher for a long term, full time position starting ASAP running for the rest of the academic year until the summer.
This welcoming, inclusive school in Merton caters for children aged 4 -19 with moderate and severe learning difficulties (SLD and MLD), pupils with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) and speech and language development (SLCN).
The school is set in spacious grounds and they have a 6th form and Arts building. They are looking for an experienced SEN teacher experienced in teaching special needs children in KS1 or KS2 to join them to work with them until the end of July.
To be considered for this SEN Teacher role you must meet the following criteria;
* Experience of teaching children with ASD, SLD and MLD, ideally within a special school
* Primary trained
* Knowledge of PECs and/or Makaton
* Subject to reference and DBS checks
* Available full time
The pupils are working at P Levels/Low National Curriculum Level 1 and as such someone from a mainstream EYFS or KS1 background would be a great fit.
