What will be your role as a SEN Teacher.
- Liaising with parents
- Marking and Planning Lessons
- Form Tutor
- Lead and Manage TA's
- Managing children's behaviour
- Summer Term
I am looking for either an experienced or NQT Secondary SEN Teacher who is kind natured and devoted to their profession. The individual needs to have some sort of background working with children with ASC and SEMH needs. This is a full time, long term role with the potential to become permanent later down the line.
What does Autism mean?
Autism which is often abbreviated to ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) could mean that individuals may have trouble with the following: Anxiety, communication, social interaction, repetitive and restrictive behaviour, varied sensitivity to certain senses such as; light, sound, tase and touch. Children with Autism may rely on different ways to communicate this maybe through PECS and Makaton.
What does SEMH mean?
SEMH stands for social, emotional and mental health is a form of special educational need where children or young adults struggle in managing their emotions and behaviour.
What are our client's schools like?
This SEN School is situated in the borough of Enfield that educates those between the ages of 7 - 18. They have approximately 60 students within the school that have varying complex needs such as SEMH, SLCN and ASC. In addition to this, the school is ran by an Outstanding Headteacher with a highly supportive Senior Leadership Team. This school has fantastic transport links as well as car parking for those who drive.
