SEN Teaching Assistant | £80-£100 per day | Immediate Start | Tottenham, North London

Your Role as an SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide tailored one-on-one and group support to students with ASD, MLD, and behavioural needs, helping them engage in learning and development activities.
  • Work closely with the teaching staff to implement personalised learning plans that cater to the individual needs of each student.
  • Manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively, supporting students in regulating their emotions and interactions with others.
  • Foster a positive, nurturing environment where students feel safe and supported, ensuring they can thrive both academically and socially.
  • Support students with emotional regulation and social development, understanding that some students may display physical behaviours when in distress.

We're Looking For in an SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with ASD, MLD, and behavioural challenges.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach, with strong resilience to support students with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • A commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment for all students, especially those with challenging behaviour.
