A Teaching Assistant is required ASAP in a 'Good' mixed mainstream Secondary school in South West London.

This Teaching Assistant position will be full time, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.

A desire to work with and effectively support SEN pupils will be essential for this Teaching Assistant post.

The primary responsibility of this Teaching Assistant role will be to support a pupil with Cerebral Palsy.

If appointed as a Teaching Assistant, you will be working 1-1 full time with the pupil. This will involve supporting him with lessons, physiotherapy and personal care. Full training is given for the physiotherapy and personal care. In addition to this, a specialist teacher also oversees the lesson adaptation and differentiation for the pupil.

The rate of pay for this Teaching Assistant position will range from £70 to £100 a day depending on the experiences and qualifications of each applicant.

A non-selective mixed school for children aged 11 - 18.

The school has a 'Good' rating from Ofsted.

The A Level results have seen the school perform well above the national average for the past 3 years, placing them in the top 20% of schools for progress.

Requirements

This Teaching Assistant role is ideal for a Graduate or experienced Teaching Assistant with experience/knowledge of supporting SEN pupils.

You can also apply for this position if you are a British Teaching Assistant or overseas Teaching Assistant.

As a minimum requirement, all applicants must have the following in order to be considered for this position as a Teaching Assistant:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Up to date and clear Enhanced DBS
  • Willingness to effectively support SEN pupils
  • Experience of having previously worked as a Teaching Assistant in UK schools
