Teaching Assistant - Islington
School:
- Islington, Zone 1, Central London
- Provides individualised learning plans for students with ADHD, ASD, MLD, OCD, SLD
- Inspirational Head Teacher
- High importance on each child getting positive praise and encouragement, support and the best care
- Teaching Assistant (s) often provide 1-1 support
- Teaching Assistant (s) delivering behaviour intervention and pastoral/emotional support.
- Students range from 8 - 19 years of age.
Teaching Assistant - Islington
Responsibilities of role :
- Supporting key pupils on a 1:1 basis
- Engaging pupils in National Curriculum learning
- Managing behaviour
- Liaise with the Teacher to implement strategies in the child's EHC Plans
- Feeding back to Teacher on child's progress
- Positive and enthusiastic presence in the classroom
The School are looking for:
- Experience working with children
- Strong role model and mentor
- Understanding of Autism and Mental Health needs
The chosen Teaching Assistant will need to be a strong personality and confident working with pupils with mental health needs.
