Reeson Education, a leading education recruitment agency, is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-established primary school in Earlsfield, South West London (SW18). This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to make a positive impact on the education and development of children with special educational needs.

As a Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support children with special educational needs, including those with autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties. You will provide individualized support and implement strategies to meet their specific needs, ensuring their participation and progress within the classroom. Your role will involve providing targeted interventions, assisting with personal care, and promoting social and emotional well-being.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant, ideally within a primary school setting. You will have a strong understanding of different special educational needs, as well as strategies and techniques to support children's learning and development. Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills are essential for building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

This position offers both ASAP and September starts, providing flexibility for candidates seeking immediate or term-time employment. The school is committed to providing ongoing professional development and a supportive working environment.

SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant, preferably within a primary school setting
  • Strong understanding of different special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
  • Ability to implement effective strategies and interventions to support children's learning and development
  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
  • A commitment to promoting inclusivity and supporting the individual needs of children
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs or Teaching Assistant would be advantageous.
