Reeson Education is recruiting a committed, resilient, and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the M40 area of Manchester. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to work within KS2, supporting pupils with SEMH, SEN, ASD, and additional needs.
This Teaching Assistant role will involve both in-class support and 1:1 intervention work. The successful Teaching Assistant will play a key role in supporting pupils' emotional regulation, learning engagement, and overall wellbeing within a structured and supportive school environment.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support staff to provide consistent, tailored support to pupils who require additional guidance throughout the school day.
Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils in KS2 as a Teaching Assistant, both in class and on a 1:1 basis
* Work with pupils with SEMH, SEN, ASD, and additional needs
* Support learning, emotional regulation, and behaviour management
* Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom routines
* Provide targeted interventions as directed by the SENCO or teacher
* Create a calm, supportive, and inclusive learning environment as a Teaching Assistant
* Build positive relationships with pupils to promote engagement and progress
* Follow safeguarding procedures at all times as a Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant - Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
* Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, SEN, ASD, or behavioural needs
* A calm, patient, and resilient approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to support pupils across KS2 as a Teaching Assistant
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
