Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant within a PRU:
- As a Teaching Assistant within a PRU, you will play a crucial role in providing vital support to students who may have experienced difficulties within mainstream education. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the delivery of tailored educational programs, ensuring each student's individual needs are met.
- Supporting students in their academic progress, helping them to catch up on missed learning and achieve their full potential.
- Building positive relationships with students and providing emotional support, creating a safe and nurturing environment.
- Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement effective strategies for student engagement and behaviour management.

What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within a PRU or alternative educational setting.
- Understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by students in a PRU, including behaviour management and social-emotional support.
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach, with the ability to build rapport with students who may have complex needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external professionals.
- Genuine passion for supporting students who require additional assistance and a commitment to their overall development.
- Knowledge of effective strategies and interventions for engaging and motivating students within a PRU environment.
