About the Role
A vibrant Tower Hamlets primary school is looking for a proactive Teaching Assistant to support learning in a Year 1 class. This role involves a mix of in-class support and small-group interventions, particularly focusing on phonics, early writing, and numeracy.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to reinforce learning objectives, support routines, and help pupils settle confidently into KS1. The class is settled, and the school provides clear guidance and structure.
The Ideal Candidate
The school is seeking a Teaching Assistant who:
Has previous classroom experience in a primary setting
Is confident supporting phonics and early literacy
Can engage young learners positively and consistently
Works well as part of a team
Holds an Enhanced DBS (or is willing to apply)
