Early Years Teaching Assistant - Reception Class - Deptford, SE London (SEND Focus)
A warm and inclusive Primary School in Deptford, SE London, is looking for an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their Reception team. This Early Years Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone confident, proactive, and experienced in supporting children with SEND needs within an EYFS environment.
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will work daily with children in the Reception class, providing both group and 1:1 support to pupils with SEND. In addition, the school is seeking someone confident enough to deliver pre-prepared lessons on Mondays and Fridays, acting as class cover. All planning will be completed for you - you simply need to deliver it confidently and maintain a positive, nurturing environment.
The school is trialling ASAP, and the right Early Years Teaching Assistant will be someone who can hit the ground running and bring strong EYFS knowledge into the setting.
The Early Years Teaching Assistant role includes:
Supporting children with SEND in a Reception class
Working as a floating support when needed
Delivering teacher-set work on Mondays and Fridays
Supporting with phonics, early number, play-based learning and routines
Working closely with the EYFS Lead and SENCO
The school is looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant who:
Has EYFS school experience
Has supported children with SEND (Autism preferred)
Is confident delivering pre-planned lessons
Is reliable, nurturing and proactive

Start: ASAP - trials happening immediately
Contract: Long-term
Days: Monday-Friday (with teaching cover on Mon/Fri)
Pay: £95-£105 per day
