Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (30-minute dinner break)
Pay: £13.69 to £15.87 per hour

Reeson Education is recruiting a caring and resilient Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with complex needs and emotional dysregulation in a warm and inclusive primary school in the SK7 area.

This full-time Teaching Assistant role will begin in September and run on a long-term basis. The successful Teaching Assistant will work 1:1 with a child who requires consistent support with emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement in learning.

The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who can offer structure, patience, and calm guidance - someone who understands behaviour as communication and can be a consistent, grounding presence in the classroom.

Key responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
* Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with emotional and behavioural needs
* Help implement a consistent routine and calming strategies
* Promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour as a Teaching Assistant
* Build a trusted, safe relationship to support learning and wellbeing
* Work closely with the SENCO and class teacher to adapt learning tasks
* Encourage resilience, communication, and social skills
* Support with EHCP targets and regular observations
* Maintain boundaries, routine, and positivity as a Teaching Assistant
* Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times
* Be a consistent, kind, and steady presence as a Teaching Assistant

This Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone who:
* Has experience supporting pupils with SEMH, anxiety, or behavioural needs
* Is emotionally intelligent, calm under pressure, and naturally nurturing
* Can commit to a full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant role from September
* Understands how to de-escalate and support emotional regulation
