This Teaching Assistant role involves supporting classes, providing 1:1 help, and working closely with the SEND department. As a Teaching Assistant, you will assist with behaviour, learning support, small-group work, and general classroom duties.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work across a range of classes and support within the SEND department. The school are looking for a confident, reliable, and proactive Teaching Assistant who can help pupils with a variety of learning, emotional, and behavioural needs.

Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting students across KS3 and KS4 as a Teaching Assistant
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support in lessons
  • Assisting class teachers with behaviour, preparation and learning resources
  • Working within the SEND department to help meet individual pupil needs
  • Helping pupils to remain focused, motivated, and engaged
  • Implementing strategies set by SENCOs and teachers
  • Offering general classroom support as a Teaching Assistant
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
