Year 2 Classroom Teacher

Due to a teacher going off on long-term sickness leave, we are currently representing a primary school situated in Haringey North London, to find them short to medium term cover as a teacher in one of their Year 2 classes. The Year 2 class is made up of 24 pupils and has a very supportive and experienced full-time teaching assistant. The position will begin on 1st September 2020 for whole school inset days with the children returning on Wednesday 2nd September.
This Ofsted rated 'Good' school draws its students from a very diverse and culturally rich community which is reflected school wide. Over the last few years, school leaders have been engaging more and more with student's homes and the local community which has dramatically improved home-school relationships, and overall making school a very positive place for the children.
The school has excellent teaching and learning resources with modern technology spread throughout the school. Classrooms and big, bright and airy and there are ample unique learning spaces within each key stage area. There is a big playing field, sports courts and even an indoor gymnasium.
The position will be for at least the first half term from September to October however, there is the possibility that this may extend up to a full academic year. There is a daily rate on offer up to £180 per day and interviews will be held ASAP.
What you'll need to apply for the Year 2 Classroom Teacher position?
- At least one year of experience teaching in KS1 or KS2 in the UK
- QTS - Achieved through a PGCE, Bachelor of Education, GTP or equivalent
- An up-to-date DBS, ideally registered with the update service
- Two teaching related references from your last two employers
