About the Role
As a Specialist Behavioural Teaching Assistant, you will:
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and pastoral team to support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
Implement tailored strategies and behaviour plans to promote positive learning and engagement.
Provide one-to-one and small group support, helping pupils develop self-regulation, confidence, and resilience.
Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure consistent support.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Experienced in supporting children with behavioural, social, or emotional needs (experience in SEMH or PRU settings is desirable).
Calm, patient, and resilient, with excellent communication and de-escalation skills.
Able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
Passionate about inclusion and committed to helping every child achieve.
