Reeson Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Enfield. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated SEN Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs in a supportive school environment.

Role Overview - SEN Teaching Assistant

The SEN Teaching Assistant will support pupils who require additional assistance with their learning and development. The SEN Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to provide targeted support through 1:1 sessions and small group learning activities.

Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Providing 1:1 support for pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs
  • Supporting small group learning activities and interventions
  • Assisting pupils with behaviour support and emotional regulation
  • Helping pupils access the curriculum and classroom activities
  • Working closely with teachers and the SENCO to support individual learning plans
  • Encouraging pupils to develop independence and confidence

Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or supporting children with SEN
  • Understanding of autism, ADHD, SEMH or communication needs
  • Calm, patient and proactive approach
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Commitment to making a difference as a SEN Teaching Assistant
