SEN Teaching Assistant | Waltham Forest | £85.50 - £110 per day | Term Time | Immediate Start

Reeson Education is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Waltham Forest. Role Overview - SEN Teaching Assistant

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work closely with pupils who have additional learning needs including autism, ADHD and speech & language difficulties. The SEN Teaching Assistant will provide both 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils stay engaged, build confidence and make consistent progress.

Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering structured and engaging lessons
  • Helping pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Supporting the development of social and academic skills

Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or working with children
  • A patient, calm and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs
