A SENDCo is needed in a Mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in North West London.
This SENDCo position will be full time and permanent.
If appointed as a SENDCo, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring SEND provision is properly managed
- Providing guidance for the SEND department to maintain high quality teaching
- Monitoring progress of pupils with SEND
- Evaluating the levels of teaching and overseeing improvements
The salary for this SENDCo post will be between £61554 and £66935, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each candidate.
The School
A 'Mixed Academy for pupils aged 11 to 18 years old, located in the London Borough of Brent.
There are currently just over 1100 pupils on enrolment.
It traces its history back to 2003, when the site was first established as a school.
Art, Wellbeing and Leadership form key parts of its ethos too.
Core values are determination, integrity, curiosity and empathy.
There is dedicated career support provided by the school, as they acknowledge the importance of career guidance for their students.
Requirements
You're encouraged to apply if you're a recently qualified SENDCo or experienced SENDCo.
Applications are also welcome if you're a British trained SENDCo or overseas trained SENDCo.
All applicants must have the following criteria in order to be considered for this role as a SENDCo:
- Right to work in the UK
- Clear and updated Enhanced DBS
- Experience as a SENDCo in UK Secondary schools
- UK QTS and NPQ for SENDCos or an overseas equivalent
