I am looking for 3 experienced, dedicated and pro-active Learning Support Assistant to join a top SEN School in Barking as soon as possible.
There are multiple positions available to start ASAP based in Special Needs Schools working small classes supporting children with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) and other complex cognitive difficulties.
Pupils have complex learning and medical needs, with some wheelchair users and many unable to communicate with spoken language, instead using Picture Recognition, Signs and Symbols.
This role would suit someone with a background in social care or nursing and some school based TA experience will be a huge advantage. You will be expected to support students with Hoist, Manual Handling Needs and Personal Care (feeding, changing and toileting).
The personal care duties will include:
- PEG feeding
- Changing the students
- Feeding orally
- Helping students to brush their teeth
To be eligible to apply for this Teaching Assistant position, you will need to be available to start full time from ASAP, as well as being able to commit to working 8.30 - 4pm, 5 days per week in Barking and Dagenham. You must have a great team work attitude and friendly demeanor in order to make students feel comfortable, safe and enjoy School!
It would be great if you already have a DBS on the update service.
