Teaching Assistant - Full-Time, Long-Term - Manchester (M23)
Location: Manchester, M23

Pay: £13.69-£15.87 per hour
Hours: 8:30am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday (30-45 min lunch)

Reeson Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a primary SEND provision in Manchester (M23). This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for a Teaching Assistant passionate about supporting pupils with a wide range of needs including non-verbal, sensory, SEMH, ASD, ADHD, MLD, and behavioural needs. The successful Teaching Assistant will work across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 to provide targeted support and ensure every pupil has access to high-quality learning experiences.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide in-class support, one-to-one and small group interventions, support pupils with complex needs, and assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons. This role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant who is adaptable, patient, and enjoys working with children with diverse needs.

Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 as a Teaching Assistant

  • Deliver 1:1 support and small group interventions as a Teaching Assistant

  • Assist with managing behaviour and promoting positive learning as a Teaching Assistant

  • Adapt resources and support learning for pupils with ASD, ADHD, MLD, SEMH, sensory, non-verbal, and behavioural needs

  • Collaborate with teachers, TAs, and other staff as a Teaching Assistant

  • Contribute to the planning and preparation of lessons as a Teaching Assistant

  • Maintain safe and nurturing environments as a Teaching Assistant

  • Support pupils during structured and unstructured times as a Teaching Assistant

  • Track progress and provide feedback to teachers as a Teaching Assistant

  • Uphold safeguarding and school policies as a dedicated Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant - Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary or SEND setting

  • Strong understanding of SEND, SEMH, and behavioural needs

  • Patience, adaptability, and excellent communication skills

  • Ability to support learning in both group and 1:1 settings

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
