This successful and friendly School in Barking and Dagenham seeks a committed Teaching Assistant who is passionate about the progress and provision for education for Special Needs children. Children have EHC plans and are catered to with individualised learning and a focus on developing independence, social skills and speech and language.
School:
- Based in Barking and Dagenham
- Parking available or 2 minutes walk from station
- SEN School for ASD or other learning difficulties including SEMH, SLD, ADHD
- Stable leadership team
- Ofsted rated 'Good'
- Multisensory learning spaces and resources
- 8-10 students per class
- Training and development for Teaching Assistant 's

Role : Teaching Assistant
- Supporting whole class
- Supporting key pupils on a 1:1 basis
- Supervising pupils in break and transition
- Delivering movement breaks, reward time and sensory stimulating play
- Feeding back to Teacher on students progress
- Managing behaviour using positive approach
- Working on the child's social/emotional skills
- Accompanying pupil to relevant therapy sessions
- Personal Care can be involved such as Feeding and Changing
You will be a strong communicator at all levels, able to engage and encourage your students to reach their potential!
